One weekend, two unforgettable events – Saturday, November 8th!

Join the Center for Animal Research and Education (CARE) for our Fall FUNdraiser, where you can experience the sanctuary like never before. This special day features two unique events designed to delight animal lovers of all ages while supporting the big cats and other residents who call CARE home.

🎃 Pumpkin Prowl (Family-Friendly Daytime Event)

Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Tickets: Adults $25 / Children under 12 $15

Bring the whole family for a day of education, enrichment, and fall fun! Watch the animals enjoy their seasonal treats, visit our kids’ station to decorate enrichment boxes, and meet Calla the “therapy” dog for a little extra love. Grab a bite from a local food truck, explore photo ops, and learn about the incredible work CARE does for its animal residents.

Groups of 25 guests will rotate through guided tours every 30 minutes between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, so space is limited—reserve your group early!

🌅 Twilight Tour & Tasting (Adults-Only Evening Event, 21+)

Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Tickets: $150 per person

When the sun sets, the sanctuary transforms into an intimate and unforgettable experience. Join us for a guided feeding tour, where you’ll get to see some of CARE’s big cats enjoy their dinner—some guests may even help feed them safely with tongs!

After the tour, relax under the stars with a wine tasting hosted by OG Cellars, paired with small bites, coffee, music, and other refreshments. It’s the perfect mix of wild beauty, good company, and great cause.

*Please be aware that this experience will consist of feeding visible animal parts to the cats. There will be blood, bones, organs, etc. We do not suggest attending if you are sensitive to seeing this.

Every ticket supports the lifesaving care, food, and medical treatment of over 50 animals at CARE—including big cats, lemurs, tortoises, and more.

In October 1895, the cornerstone was laid for the Wise County Courthouse. 130 years later, in October 2025, we will celebrate the rededication of this restored icon.

Please join us on Thursday, October 23, at 10:00 a.m. for this historic occasion.

More details about speakers, parking, and event logistics will be shared as we get closer to the date.

While this ceremony marks the official rededication, there will be multiple opportunities in the weeks following to tour the restored courthouse and see the results of this once-in-a-generation project up close.
